Today we wrapped up what was one of the most productive seasons in memory. The Coral Sea and the Ranger 85 had absolutely epic counts. Captain Frank of the Ranger 85 had 2-day limits of big reds, 142 sheephead, 91 whitefish and 68 lingcod. The Coral skippered by captain Alex Edwards also had 2-day limits of quality rockfish with a nice mix of whitefish, sheephead and lingcod. Our overnight boats the Pacific Islander, Mirage and Seabiscuit had limits of rock cod, a healthy dose of ocean whitefish and lingcod and some scrappy sheephead to go with it. Limit style fishing all around on our full day boats the Sea Jay, Cobra and Aloha Spirit. Our ¾ day boat the Gentleman had 376 rockfish for her 47 anglers while the Erna B scored limits for her 22 anglers. Our ½ day boat the Speed Twin had an outstanding day for its 49 anglers. They bagged 400 red snapper and 90 assorted rockfish on today’s ½ day run. The rock crabs are on the move also. Captain John of the Cobra had 60 rock crab and limits of rockfish on its 5:30pm hoop-netting trip. Overall CISCOs had 3,256 rockfish today followed up by 348 ocean whitefish, 197 sheephead and 228 lingcod. Thanks to everyone for such a fantastic year here at the beautiful Channel Islands and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2011

With only 1-day left in the season now is the time to get your fish on aboard one of our 11 seasoned sport boats. Today was an extremely productive day for all our sportfishing boats. Our full day boats scored close to limits of rockfish while bagging over 50 lingcod between the Aloha Spirit, Sea Jay and Cobra. The Gentleman had epic local rock fishing bagging limits for her 33 anglers. The Erna B was on a ¾ day trip with a diverse fish count matching our outer island boats. Captain Dave Wortham of the Erna B had a healthy score of rockfish and lingcod as well as a mix of sculpin, sheepehad, whitefish and rock sole. Our 1/2 day boat, the Speed Twin put their anglers on some good rock fishing as well as a healthy score of sculpin and a few lings. Our overnight boats, the Mirage and Pacific Islander were on the fish today decking limits of rockfish and plenty of outer island lingcod to go around. We still have limited space available for our ¾ day and ½ day boats for December 31st last trip of the year. With over 1500 rockfish and close to 100 lingcod today tomorrow should be an epic last day of the season. From the staff at CISCOs, thanks for the support and LETS GO FIHSING!

2011

The season is coming to a close and our sportfishing boats are going out with a bang! Today we had 6 boats head out in search for some end of the year freezer filling fish scores. The Sea Jay skippered by captain John Fuqua put his anglers on some nice shallow water rockfish scoring limits of tasty cod and lingcod for its 6 anglers. The Aloha Spirit had limits style cod fishing as well with some nice ocean whitefish and a flattie to 25lbs. The Speed Twin had an epic day with 500 rockfish for her 50 anglers along with a healthy score of scrappy sculpin. The Erna B was on a 7am ¾ day run with 13 people bagging their daily limit of 10 rockfish per person. The Gentleman had a productive day for its 40 anglers scoring 360 rockfish with a few lings and sole in the mix. And don’t forget about our overnight boat. The Pacific Islander ventured out to the outer islands in search of massive Miguel reds. They scored its limit of rockfish with mixed whitefish, lingcod and sheephead. Captain Steve Virtue says, “the reds were huge today, I mean quality outer island vermillion fishing”. The Pacific Islander is running her last 2 runs of the season departing at 10pm Thursday night and Friday night. The Erna B, Gentleman, Speed Twin, Aloha Spirit, Cobra and Sea Jay have open party runs through the week starting at 4am. The Coral Sean And Ranger 85 will be departing Thursday night at 10pm for an end of year 2-day extravaganza. They will be fishing the outer islands on both Friday and Saturday. The Cobra is also running a special lobster/crab hoop net trip on Fridays and Saturday nights at 5:30pm. So if it’s a 9am half day on the Speed Twin or an overnight trip on the Pacific Islander we have the year end run for you. Call the landing today to make a reservation or simply book online. From the staff at CISCOs happy holidays and LETS GO FISHING!
