We blew em’ out of the water today! We had a great start to what we hope will be a bountiful season ahead. The boats reported back some whopping Lingcod and excellent quality bottom fishing overall. We had so much fun getting back out on the water after a long off-season hiatus.
Bottom fishing continues at the Channel Islands. The counts are mostly bottom fishing at the Channel Islands. Yellowtail still possible but not likely.
Labor Day Weekend fishing signals end of summer but September is a great time to keep fishing. The Channel Islands has an extraordinary well rounded fishery.
The fishing season is about to start on March 1st here in the Channel Islands.

This fish is very rare in these parts and in fact none of our captains had ever heard of one being caught this far north. They are normally located far south of the Mexican water so this was a prized fish NOT for its size, but for its rarity.
Some windy weather hindered the fishing some this past week but we did get to take many Father's out fishing for Father's Day.
Taking your kids fishing is a very rewarding and bonding activity.
Opening day is only a handful of days away and we are ready to go here at Cisco's!
