Summer is here and the surface fishing is heating up! Yellowtail in the counts!
This past week was one of the best, if not the best, week of fishing yet this year for White Seabass Fishing. Both local island and outer island boats got into a wide open White Seabass bite catching limits or very close to limits.
The White Seabass fishing has escalated! And the White Seabass Limit went to 3 today, June 16, 2019.
This weeks Thanksgiving Day holiday brought a lot of new faces through our doors and on to the boats. Fisherman will always find time to fish when near the water, especially when visiting from out of town or state.
Fall fishing remains good for Channel Islands Sportfishing but this fishing season is quickly coming to an end with only two months left.
Yellowtail bite slowed down due to high winds across the Channel Islands.
This week we battled the big yellowtail again. Local island boats headed out each morning with the intent of bringing home a boat load of Yellowtail.
The Yellowtail bite continues as predicted into the month of October.

The surface bite is still going strong at the Channel Islands. We are still catching big numbers of Yellowtail fishing the local islands, Anacapa or Santa Cruz.

Calico bass fishing this week was outstanding! Yellowtail still biting some. Weather was good.

Surface fishing at the Channel Islands for Yellowtail and Calico Bass, has become a reliable bite as all the boats are gathering up and catching fish side by side.
Here we are in early October and the fish report is still as good as it was in July. A few windy days kept us off the water but finding the fish once we got back out there proved to be easier than expected.

At the local islands Anacapa and Santa Cruz, the Yellowtail are still out in force. All of our morning departures are catching some nice sized Yellows simply fly-lining live baits.
The month of August has come and gone and was by far our most productive and consistent month of the season for fishing California Yellowtail.
With a hot Yellowtail bite, along with the bass fishing, this summer's anglers continue to experience better than average fishing.
