The RANGER 85 is one of the most versatile Sportfishing Vessels on the West Coast. At 85 feet in length you have plenty of fishing room and comfort. With a wide deck and a low profile the Ranger 85 is an excellent platform to fish on. The Ranger 85 is the Largest Sportfishing Vessel in Ventura County. All new electronics including Wesmar Side Scanning Sonar, Furuno Fish Finders, and Satellite Navigation fill the bridge giving you an advantage on the fishing grounds. We pride ourselves in taking care of your fish. We have two fish holds that allow us to keep your catch very cold for filleting or we can freeze your fish for transporting home.

Whether you are a seasoned angler or a novice, after one of Captain Frank’s legendary “Fishing Seminars" before the trip you’ll step up to the rail with confidence and be ready to handle anything that strikes. You'll get to fish with our seasoned crew that is always ready to help make your trip on the Ranger 85 a great fishing experience.

We specialize in Open Party Trips of 1.5, 2, 2.5, and 3.5 days. All of our open party trips are "Limited Load", just 28 anglers on an 85 foot boat with 41 bunks. That leaves plenty of room to spread out on the deck and space to store your gear below deck. Unlike other boats that charge a trip price and then charge for permits, food and snacks our trips are ALL INCLUSIVE;bait, berthing, Mexican permits, meals, and snacks for one price. We serve generous portions on all our meals and there are plenty of snacks throughout the day so you will never be hungry. Beverages are extra but there are no other "hidden" costs on our trips. We offer the best "Limited Load" open party trips in the San Diego fleet by far!

Ranger 85 Fishing a 2 day overnight fishing trip

At 70 years old it sure is rare to have a memory to add to your life adventures but I now have a new one after my trip with you guys fishing the Channel Islands on your 2 day trip on May 3rd.
