Overnight Fish Report on the Pacific Islander – June 10, 2012

June 10, 2012

Today’s group was a mix of mostly regulars with some new faces in there as well.  The trip across the channel was very calm and uneventful as was the White Seabass fishing in the morning.  With a full load of passenger we decided to get an early start on the rock fishing.  Venturing around South Point of Santa Rosa and heading to the Cluster Point area on the west end of the island turned out to be a bad idea  due to the very large swell and uphill tide made for a very rough and unfishable condition so we headed back to South Point and started the day.  First stop produced a lot of large rockfish and lingcod.  As the day progressed fishing slowed down a bit but we did manage to capture limits of rockfish and some lingcod to top off the sacks.  We are out again tonight with a light load and being tanked with live squid it should be a great trip.

Till next time.

We look forward to seeing you on the water.
