Shallow Water Rockfishing at the Outer Islands on the Pacific Islander

October 12, 2012

Our first shallow water, light tackle trip of the year was a huge success!! Fishing on the westerly end of Santa Rosa Island with a light load of passengers was exceptional.

Easy limits on quality rock fish and lingcod to 16 lbs for the morning.

In the afternoon we moved to the south side of the island to try for some whitefish and ended up with 35 medium to large grade of the hard fighting fish.  These trips will be available through the end of the year on Fridays. (departing Thursdays at 10pm)

This time of year is the best weather for sport fishing in California at the northern Channel Islands. This is a great way to spend a day with typically light loads and great fishing.

Til next time….

Look forward to seeing you on the water!
